An RSPB reserve, Loch of Strathbeg is located near Crimmond and is a great place to go if you are interested in seeing wildlife. From the comfort of the visitors centre you can see a range of water birds: gulls and terns in spring and early summer, visiting migrant waders in spring and autumn and possibly most exciting, thousands of geese in winter.
- Bird watch from the comfort of the RSPB’s visitor centre or from the bird hides around the reserve
- Follow the walking trails around the reserve’s dune loch and marshland habitats
