Waters of Philorth

Three miles east of Fraserburgh lies Waters of Philorth Local Nature Reserve. This is a scenic area for a walk, with great views to Fraserburgh across thebay. The diverse range of habitats in the reserve: sand dunes, saltmarsh and marsh flats mean that there is a lot to see. Look for kingfishers by the river or enjoy a picnic at the facilities on the landward side of the dunes.
